Como Golf Course first opened for play in 1931. The course was redesigned in 1987 by Don Herfort (R)
Como Golf Course is a traditional style of course routed over hilly and tree lined fairways. Water hazards coming into play on six holes. The fairways are lined with oak trees, and there are many sand bunkers incorporated into this course's design. The signature hole is #8, a 515-yard, par 5, affording the more advance player a good opportunity to gamble and try for the green in two shots. However, a lake looms on the left which guards the approach. In addition, the fairway tilts toward the lake, so beware the sidehill lies as you decide whether to take the risk or not.
The course has a par 70, plays 5,581 yards from the longest tees, and has a rating of 67.5 and a slope of 122.
